This fireplace is a 36 inch conventional firebox. The unit was built out with concrete block to give it a squared look and a ledge around the top. The chimney is topped with a Chimney Pot from Superior Clay Product and the hearth is flagstone along with the large patio not shown in this photo. The stone is a blend of 3 types of (natural) thin stone veneer from Robinson Brick Company.

Starting from the left in this photo we see a 42 inch see thru Fireplace, center (our mobile display) is a 30 inch Modified Count Rumford, on the right is a 48 inch conventional firebox. Notice the chimney blocks on the left and right units, the pices come in 6 inch sections and can be added as needed. The flue is 15 inch inside diameter (round) and the corners of the chimney blocks have a grout cell for rebar and grout making the unit extremely durable.

The Firerock System uses a bricking flange when penetrating the roof to allow for brick to be installed at the chimney.

This photo shows a 48" Modified Count Rumford unit, the firebox opening was shortened to about 2 feet tall at the tallest point. An Ash Dump was put in below the fireplace. We used the thick firebrick on this fireplace which leaves the width of the firebox at about 45 inches in width. We really enjoyed building this one.
